Person-Centered Counseling

Feeling misunderstood, abandoned, and helpless? In crises, we need space, understanding, and someone who believes in us. The person-centered approach is characterized by unconditional positive regard, deep understanding, and a congruent, secure relationship at eye level.

Couples Therapy

Are you and your partner unhappy in your relationship? Couples therapy can enhance understanding, closeness, and self-confidence. Sessions are offered online via Zoom or at my office in Unna. Appointments can be booked online.

Person-Centered Approach

The person-centered approach, developed by Carl Rogers, is founded on the belief that individuals possess an inherent ability to grow and self-actualize. This approach emphasizes three core conditions: unconditional positive regard, empathy, and congruence (authenticity). In a therapeutic setting, the counselor provides a non-judgmental, empathetic environment, enabling clients to explore their feelings and thoughts openly. This method fosters self-understanding, acceptance, and personal growth, creating a safe space where clients feel valued and understood, facilitating their journey towards becoming their true selves.

Couples Therapy

In couples therapy, the focus is on improving communication, understanding, and creating more intimacy between partners. By providing a neutral and supportive environment, the therapist helps couples navigate conflicts and strengthen their relationship. Techniques include active listening, empathy-building exercises, and exploring each partner's perspectives and needs. The goal is to enhance mutual respect, emotional connection, and collaborative problem-solving, fostering a healthier and more fulfilling partnership.

Counseling

Person-centered counseling offers support for individuals facing various life challenges. The counselor provides a safe, empathetic space where clients can express their feelings and thoughts without fear of judgment. This approach helps individuals gain clarity, develop self-compassion, and find solutions to their problems. It is particularly effective in addressing issues such as anxiety, selfworth, stress, and personal growth, enabling clients to lead more fulfilling lives. I speak fluently englisch and offer sessions in german or english.
